The small print
Privacy
Short version: your stories stay with you.
What you type stays in your browser
The generators and the planner run entirely in your browser. Prompts, characters, twists and settings are made on your device from word banks that load with the page, and nothing you type, such as character edits, titles or planner notes, is sent to us or to anyone else. There are no accounts, no forms that send data, no adverts and no tracking pixels.
What is saved on your device
Fresh Fable keeps two things in your browser’s local storage, and only on your device:
freshfable-theme: your light or dark choice, if you pick one with the theme button.freshfable-planner: the story structure planner’s structure, title, word count, chapters and notes, so they are still there when you come back.
The site does not use cookies. To remove what it saved, press Clear notes in the planner, or clear this site’s data in your browser settings.
Copying and downloads
Copy buttons put text on your clipboard, and downloads are files created by your browser. Neither involves a server.
Analytics
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies or cross-site tracking and never receives what you type, paste or drop into the tools. It tells us which pages are visited, roughly from where and on what kind of device.
Hosting
Pages are served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles the technical details of each request, such as your IP address, in order to deliver the page.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to other websites, including our sister sites, CleanTempMail and WebTraceCheck. Their own privacy policies apply once you follow a link.
